Planet Plastic: A spoken word protest urging us to stop trashing Planet Earth

During a week of mass protests taking place in our capital, writer Natasha Batorijs shares ‘Planet Plastic’ her own protest against the climate crisis and our disregard for Planet Earth.

During a week of mass protests taking place in our capital, writer Natasha Batorijs shares ‘Planet Plastic’ as her own protest against the climate crisis and our disregard for Planet Earth.

We are making demands to our government to acknowledge issues and take action, but there are small changes to be made in our day-to-day lives that can have a massive impact on our environment. Natasha urges these changes to be made – but not before passionately painting a picture about the sheer magnitude of the crisis.

The spoken word is powered by anger for the lack of action being taken, fear of an imminent future where there will be more plastic in the oceans than fish, and the urgency of the looming deadline set by scientists where we will no longer be able to turn back.
