Aged 16–19? Passionate about film? Passionate about telling stories?

Apply Now for the BFI Film Academy Bristol documentary strand at Watershed (Deadline Monday 3rd November 2014).

No qualifications necessary… just commitment and ideas.

What?: You will get hands-on filmmaking experience by making a documentary film with mentoring from professionals. This film will be published and promoted on Rife magazine – Bristol’s new youth-led online platform. 

This course will cover everything from pitching ideas, location scouting, pre-production, shooting and editing with industry led- masterclasses and workshops.

You will also get to put on your own live event at Watershed – gaining experience in event management and marketing and communications.  Through the course, you will expand your industry and creative networks and pick up the insights you need to find your place in the film industry. Also, you get to see your film on the big screen.

When?: This course takes place on evenings and weekends from Dec 2014 to Feb 2015.

Why?: You will develop the knowledge and skills to help make a career in film a reality. You will also have your film published online on Rife magazine with the potential of thousands of views. The Rife magazine editor will help you with a social media strategy to help build exposure.

Interviews take place 4pm–8pm, Tuesday, 25th November 2014.
