Hello! Rife Magazine ceased publishing new work in July 2022.

We've kept the magazine online as an archive and hope you'll still continue to enjoy all of its contributions from the last 8 years.

The Rife Team

Tim Lo

Originally from Hong Kong, Tim moved to Bristol in 2013. Along with being a content creator for Rife, she is a filmmaker and theatre-maker with a lifelong passion in dance and choreography — she is always searching for the perfect blend between all these creative forms in her work. From a former British colony, she is especially enthusiastic about discussing the identities that lie between intersections of culture, race, gender and sexuality. She is also a huge mental health advocate and keen lover of life.

Her favourite pastimes include drawing or painting while listening to Cantopop and K-pop, binge-watching anime and reading fantasy novels. Dumplings and green tea cheesecake are her spirit-foods. Do stop her if you see her around to chat about animals and fabulous hair colours, it will absolutely make her day.

Why are we so bad at talking about family illness?

When Tim found out about her mum's cancer, she felt paralysed.
