Hello! Rife Magazine ceased publishing new work in July 2022.

We've kept the magazine online as an archive and hope you'll still continue to enjoy all of its contributions from the last 8 years.

The Rife Team

Kat Keir

Kat is a 21-year-old Literature graduate who studied in Leeds and specialised in postcolonial fiction and refugee narratives. As the Bristol editor for Babystep magazine, she lives and breathes writing, films and writing about watching films (among other topics). When she’s not writing, working, or putting the world to rights, you’ll find her baking, rifling through a vintage rail or curled up in the corner with a good book and a cuppa. Her proudest moment as a writer was managing to conclude her dissertation on the dichotomy between nature and the natural world in the works of Shakespeare with a quote from Greta Thunberg.

Three simple steps for empathy in the era of Covid-19

Kat thinks about the ways we can help each other even when we're far apart (for now).
