Hello! Rife Magazine ceased publishing new work in July 2022.

We've kept the magazine online as an archive and hope you'll still continue to enjoy all of its contributions from the last 8 years.

The Rife Team

Imogen Downes

Imogen is an 18 year old theatre maker and poet from Bristol. She fell in love with creating things at a young age, and since has performed her original theatre and spoken word pieces across Bristol and the South West. Her work builds bridges between the political, the social, and the personal, with the aim of making the world a more hopeful, open minded place. As well as working at Rife, she assists workshops at the Tobacco Factory Theatre and is a member of Bristol Old Vic Young Company.

When she’s not furiously scribbling poetic bars, she enjoys dancing, scouring charity shops for sequin garments, and laughing until it feels like her cheeks are going to melt.
