Chloe Crowther

Age: 16.

Occupation: Student at Colston’s Girls’ School’s Sixth Form.
Studying: English, English Literature, Philosophy and Ethics and History.
Interests: My three pet cats (!) Also reading and writing, (I have been published in several Young Writers anthologies) meeting my friends in coffee shops, cross-country running and watching Netflix (which I do way too often!)

Clubs: Envision UK, which inspired me to write this article. I am part of a project to raise awareness of mental health amongst young people and to help break down the stigma surrounding the issues. This project involves teaching people about mental health and supporting them in becoming peer mentors, who will then help out with other young people who are suffering with poor mental health.

I also enjoy helping out with the younger years doing Raving Readers (our school’s book club) and I sing in the Sixth Form Choir.

Fact: I struggled with poor mental health after an operation in 2010, so it is an issue which resonates with me personally.
