Hello! Rife Magazine ceased publishing new work in July 2022.

We've kept the magazine online as an archive and hope you'll still continue to enjoy all of its contributions from the last 8 years.

The Rife Team

Astrid Spruzen

Astrid is a Fine Art student based in Bristol whose practice employs poetry and music to express the joy of simplicity.

Her writing is interested in societal behaviour and its broader social utility, the interconnectedness of people and locations, and their environment.
Environmental and personal wellbeing are essential to how she processes the self, the individual’s place in society, and how they are constituted through their cultural and moral experiences.

Astrid takes an interest in culture with a vicarious appreciation for different cultures and other social or religious environments. This is viewed through a creative, ontological, and sensory, as well as empirical, lens.
In writing about sustainability, consumerism, and wellbeing, this core interest in simplicity prevails. It translates to a multi-media practice of photography, film, writing, lyrics, and poetry.
