the itch season 2 episode 2: Sam Neal

the itch, our video series spotlighting local Bristol talent, continues season 2’s music focus with Sam Neal’s ‘Our Time Has Just Begun’.

the itch is a collaborative film project between Rife Magazine and Clockwise. We come across some of the most exciting talent in Bristol, working here at the magazine, and we want to celebrate everything the city has to offer. So, working with Clockwise, we will be shooting and uploading intimate performances, brash outlandish artistic pieces, stand-up, poetry, music, dance, whatever, in the coming months.

Season 2 is a music special.

I’ve been working with Trinity Community Arts Centre where I’m a music training ambassador. As part of my work with Trinity I’ve performed at the Bristol Harbour Fest, Ashton Court Balloon Fiesta and the annual Trinity garden party. I’ve also recently started a full time University course studying music.

Support more young people to have their voices heard

Rife is Watershed‘s online magazine created for young people, by young people.

We offer paid internships and publish work by young writers, photographers, illustrators, and filmmakers from all sorts of backgrounds, helping them get into creative careers. Rife has reached over 8,000 young people through our workshops, over 220 young people have made stuff for Rife on topics ranging from mental health to identity to baked beans, and last year, over 200,000 people visited our website.

In these complex and uncertain times hearing from and supporting young people who are advocating for social change and contributing fresh perspectives has never been so important.

Through supporting Rife you can ensure that this important work continues and that more young people have their voices heard.
