Hello! Rife Magazine ceased publishing new work in July 2022.

We've kept the magazine online as an archive and hope you'll still continue to enjoy all of its contributions from the last 8 years.

Want to know where you can meet people? Learn how to make films? Smoothies? Get advice on housing? Jobs? Sex? Drugs? Rock’n’Roll? You need the Rife Guide

…a lively, informative site for young people to find out what’s going on in their city…

Rife is proud to announce the official launch of its new site, an essential guide to what’s going on for young people in Bristol. Rife Guide is a revamp of Go Places Do Things and will act as a lively, informative site for young people to find out what’s going on in their city – events, networking opportunities, jobs, places to hang out, courses, studio time, advise sessions and more. It’ll be the place for young people to find out what to do. Also, we’ll be listing every single organisation in Bristol that works with young people and setting out what they do, and how they can help. It’ll be a fun, informative and interactive site designed to ensure that even the teenager who doesn’t know what he or she is looking for can find something to do.

Rife brings together Watershed’s programme for young people to enable them to take an active part in Bristol’s thriving cultural scene. We collaborate with 13-24 year olds to create a magazine, films, events, online content and more. We open doors to the creative industries, art and digital for young people. Selfishly, we’re trying to ensure our longevity by getting future stars into our spaces now. Unselfishly, we’re helping to produce the cultural leaders of tomorrow.

Rife means everywhere.

Rife is a Watershed programme, commissioned by Bristol Youth Links and Bristol City Council.

Currently, Rife has a magazine, offering six-month paid jobs to young people 18-24 to create content ranging from arts and culture to social issues, article to documentary; a lab where all its experimentations in schools and youth clubs, from vlogs to reviews get some exposure; awards, where it rewards the most talented young creative in Bristol; an annual list where it highlights the most influential Bristolians under 24, and now the guide, where you can find out exactly what’s happening in the city, for you. From Actors in Avonmouth, to knitters in Knowle, and Weightlifters in Withywood, the Rife guide is for you.

Rife means everywhere.
