…the look was varied, edgy and full of humour

The end of November saw the return of the Coexist Fashion Show. Taking place at Hamilton House in the heart of Stokes Croft the show demonstrated Bristol’s unique urban style.

Showcasing independent designers with strong ties to Bristol the look was varied, edgy and full of humour. These creative designers draw their inspiration from art, music, festivals, and the urban and rural landscape – some designers are established and others are just starting out.  From street wear to party wear there were dazzling pirate coats, slinky cat suits, print T-shirts, wooden bow ties, and bags and belts made from reclaimed inner tubes and bike tyres. Running for three nights, the show played to a full house of around 150 guests who gave a great reception to the designs and their models.

The stunning models came in different shapes and sizes, and the clothes looked fantastic and wearable.

The models, all volunteers, were fantastic and professional in the Bristol sense of the word. They swayed and danced down the catwalk with smiles, winks and kisses. The stunning models came in different shapes and sizes, and the clothes looked fantastic and wearable.

The interval gave us an opportunity to visit the Buyer’s Lounge where Fayenique, Mighty Hoo Ha, House of Junk, Willow & Warson and Dollar Bill Print amongst others showed off their designs.
